Are you all just hoping something will happen so that you can be in the world news?

world news

Everytime I see local news advertising, they state something that’s supposedly going on or think might go on. And nothing ever is.

Yeah we just love us some baby drowners and cheatin’ husband runner-overs. Do you honestly think that’s the way true Houstonians feel? We’d like to get recognized for something nice once in a while - such as how nice everyone was when we had the superbowl here, or how our soccer team won the MLS cup the first year they were here, or how we have one of the top cancer treatment centers in the world. Maybe you should live somewhere else where things are exciting - like wherever they’ll be dropping a bomb next.

I’m kinda happy that most people in the rest of the country don’t know we exist. Let the bozos think that we have tumbleweeds rolling down the street and carry six-shooters and are married to our sisters.

I like that Houston is one of the best kept secrets in the country.

I spend too much time on Yahoo Answers to ever watch the news.

Did Beyonce steal your boyfriend? Did you want a record deal and she wouldn’t help you with it because you haven’t got any talent? Why do you think that Houston folks want to be anything at all like New York or Los Angeles? Do you ever ask about anything real?

Houston is a wonderful city filled with great people. My aunt lives in Sugarland and I wish I lived in that area too. Every big city has its share of Bozos, it’s just that places like Boston, NY, LA and San Fran Freako…I mean San Fran Sicko, have SO many bozos that they don’t stand out in the news as much.

Pray that a terrorist with a suitcase nuke doesn’t blow up Houston!

Question makes little sense to me. Are you keeping track of who’s who in world news or such.
Most Cities would love to be in the World News in a positive way, but the News Media wouldn’t pick up on that near as fast as it will on all the Negative News which every City, including Houston, Texas has plenty of. Most not natives either.
Plenty is going on, I don’t see how you can say nothing ever is.
Is your head in the sand or did you just flat run out of questions.
For crying out loud, wake up and tune in.
You sound like someone who just came out of a long, long coma.
I hope you get the answer your looking for. Good luck !! ~~Jill

I’m sorry you think that way. Our families live here. Do you really think we would hope something would affect their lives for a chance to be on the news? There’s got to be more to your life than thinking that up.
