World Events
Conservative £mperor asked:

Do you ever get depressed from all the bad news in the world, and just think of sitting back and doing nothing about anything cos it feels like when you try to fix one, 2 more pop up, especially when your very disfunctional Govt. will do nothing to help?

I absolutely think the state of the world can lead to depression, especially when we think about our collective potential and how it’s not being reached. Try to fill your days with positive actions and attitude. Help those you can and treat people right. I know how you feel :-(

I filter what I watch and what I don’t. If I am becoming depressed by too much bad input; I just turn it off. There have been problems since the begining of time, and I don’t think it is our responsibility as individuals to worry about them all.

It is better just to be grateful for your hopefully good situation, and to be kind to others.

I think it is no coinsidence the news is so doomsday: it is a way to keep people under control.

Only for a short time. Then if you contrast how good most people [than can read] have it compared to those depressing horrible overseas places, then our lives seem almost like heaven on EARTH!!!
