I dont recall hearing daily news about shootings and murders in other countries thousands of miles away years ago - do you think we just get more now because of the internet?
M - more rracists now than in the 70s and 80s? I am not so sure about that…… have you forgotten the skinheads? and the rastas for that matter

The news media focuses on what sells. By focusing on violence without providing context they make you afraid - and fear sells the news.

Once again, ♥M♥ is badly mistaken. Check the FBI statistics….Overall, crime is down, especially violent crime.
One thing is true, though; The 20th century was one of the bloodiest centuries in all of world history. The 21st is stacking up to be more of the same thanks to militant Islam.

We now have the ability to instantly communicate all over the planet. It has proved to be not such a good thing, as people are given the opportunity to REACT before they have time to process the information at hand, which is never all the information, just bits and pieces of the big picture! And, don’t people just love to stir the ****! Any injustice there is anywhere in the world and instantly there are ban wagons everywhere. I can’t help but wonder if we have made some terrible mistakes due to the REACTION factor.
And, yes… we hear a lot more of all the evils of the world due to this factor. Also, I believe that problems, that in the past, were taken care of with in a community, have ballooned into everyone trying to cover their relative ***** instead of solving the problems at hand. I also believe, that the youth of today are allowed to commit mayhem with little or no repercussions. They are not held accountable within their own families much less their communities.
