I would think the prerequisite of a world news reporter would be someone who has worked abroad in news. However, if the newspaper is small and the pay is small and they are sending you to the middle east. HELLOOOOOOoooooooo! You will not be famous from it, they will not have the connections or power to do squat over there, the next interviewer will be you worked for who and you went where?
