Why are gas prices lower but world events same or worse?

Now tell me gas prices drop over past holiday weekend. Never happend before price use to always rise a couple pennies.
World events geting worse and pricing going down. Storms out in the Atlantic prices going down

I mean all the reason prices went up are there or worse yet price is going down.

    Election

    Actually supposed to be down to $2 a gallon by election time. Then up to $5 by next summer.
