they are aiming for the american audience, if you want worldnews, you should watch the BBC world news, but if you live in america, your cable network does not carry the BBC, it bugs the hell out of me too.

then watch other channel, I suggest not the american channel, maybe watch al-jazeera. wider perspective on issue is important, so watch more international channel is better.
